Printer, Inkjet-A printer that prints using jets that spray liquid ink.
Most inkjet printers use four colors of ink, black, magenta, cyan and yellow. For truer to life printed colors, many manufactures now utilize several more colors of ink. Thus generally speaking, the more colors of ink a printer uses the better color clarity it is capable of.
Some inkjet printers utilize ink cartridges with the print heads built in thus every time you replace the ink cartridge you replace the print head. Other printers either use a separate replaceable print head or the print head is permanently attached to the printer and can not be replaced. What this means to the consumer is that printers that use ink cartridges with built in print heads generally pay more for ink cartridges and quite often have to purchase special cartridges if they wish to print pictures. Whereas consumers not using ink cartridges with built in print heads usually spend less for each ink cartridge, but they usually spend more for the printer.
